Somerville - Controls

Somerville Controls

The Somerville control layout and button mapping for PlayStation, Xbox and PC controllers are explained below. Developed by Jumpship, Somerville is a cinematic sci-fi adventure focused on movement, environmental interaction, puzzle solving and light-based powers rather than complex combat.

Somerville is best played with a controller, although keyboard input is available on PC. The control scheme is intentionally simple, with most of the game built around moving, interacting with objects, using abilities and solving environmental puzzles.

  • Interact is used for pushing, pulling, grabbing, climbing and activating objects.
  • Use Ability becomes important after gaining access to alien-powered environmental interactions.
  • Run is mostly used during chase sequences or when crossing larger areas.
  • Crouch / Hide is used in stealth sections and tight spaces.
  • Controller input is recommended for the smoothest experience, especially during puzzle and chase sections.
