Aniimo - Tips and Tricks

Aniimo Tips

Aniimo has plenty to discover beyond its colorful creatures. The open world of Idyll is filled with wild Aniimo, environmental puzzles, hidden locations, battles and opportunities to develop your collection.

The most useful thing to learn early is that your Aniimo are not simply companions that fight for you. Through Twining, they also become your way of exploring the world. These Aniimo beginner tips will help you catch creatures more efficiently, build a useful party and avoid wasting resources.

Catch Different Aniimo Instead of Collecting Only Your Favorites

It is tempting to build a party around the cutest or strongest creatures you find, but variety is important in Aniimo.

Different species have different abilities and ways of moving through the environment. A creature that excels in battle might not be the best choice for crossing water or reaching a difficult location.

Try to maintain a balanced collection that gives you useful options for both exploration and combat.

Learn Twining as Early as Possible

Twining is one of Aniimo's defining mechanics. Instead of simply commanding a creature, you transform into it and use its abilities yourself.

Practise Twining with each new Aniimo you catch. Experiment with its movement, skills and interactions with the environment.

If you reach an obstacle that your Pathfinder cannot overcome, consider whether one of your Aniimo has an ability designed for that situation.

Do Not Waste Your Best Aniipods on Every Creature

Aniipods are used to catch wild Aniimo, and different types can help with more challenging captures.

Before throwing, enter Catch Mode and inspect your target. Use ordinary catching items when the chance is reasonable, and consider saving more valuable Aniipods for rare or difficult creatures.

You can earn additional catching resources through gameplay, events and rewards, so check available activities before spending premium currency.

Pay Attention to Weather and Time of Day

Not every Aniimo appears under the same conditions. The game's creature encounters can depend on location, weather, environmental phenomena and time of day.

If you cannot find a particular species, returning to the same area later may be more productive than searching continuously.

Keep track of where you encounter unusual Aniimo so you know which areas are worth revisiting.

Build a Party With Different Skills

A good team is not necessarily four creatures that deal the most damage. Consider their available abilities, elemental interactions and movement options.

Keeping different types of Aniimo ready can make it easier to respond to enemies and environmental challenges without constantly rebuilding your party.

Since you can switch between four assigned Aniimo using the D Pad or number keys, arrange your party in an order that feels natural during combat.

Use Lock On and Aimed Skills During Battles

Combat becomes easier to manage when you focus on a specific target. Use Lock On to keep track of an enemy, especially when several creatures are moving around the battlefield.

Some skills allow manual aiming. Hold the appropriate skill button, adjust the camera and release when the target is lined up.

Pay attention to the skill effects of each Aniimo. Learning when to use a powerful ability is often more valuable than activating it immediately whenever it becomes available.

Explore Beyond the Main Quest

The continent of Idyll rewards curiosity. While the main story introduces important mechanics, optional exploration can lead to new creatures, useful items and hidden challenges.

Use the map to keep track of areas you have visited, and return when you obtain an Aniimo with new traversal abilities.

Do not assume that an unreachable area is permanently blocked. Sometimes the solution is simply bringing the right creature.

Check Your Aniilog and Collection Rewards

Catching new Aniimo helps expand your collection and unlocks opportunities connected to the Aniilog.

Make a habit of checking your collection progress, especially after discovering several new species. Some rewards and collection milestones are easy to overlook if you focus only on quests.

Upgrade the Aniimo You Actually Use

As your collection grows, you will have more creatures than you can keep in your active party. Avoid spreading all your development resources evenly across every Aniimo.

Focus first on a small group that supports your preferred combat style and exploration needs. You can experiment with additional creatures as you earn more resources.

Many Aniimo can evolve, so review their development options before deciding which ones deserve your immediate attention.

Try Multiplayer Activities When You Are Ready

Aniimo includes multiplayer activities alongside solo exploration. One example is Egg Heist, a mode that combines searching and battles with teams of three players.

Before joining competitive activities, become familiar with your active party's skills and switching shortcuts. Good timing and teamwork matter more when other players are involved.
